Traditional Sign-making masterclass

While The Sign Show allows attendees to catch up on all the latest developments in the sign market, the event is committed to celebrating some of the older crafts that have helped make the industry what it is today.

What to expect at the Traditional Sign-Making Masterclass

Visitors to this special area of The Sign Show will be able to view first-hand some of the most well-loved forms of traditional sign-making. Attendees will be treated to live demonstrations of crafts including sign-writing, screen printing on a flat table and on walls, and both water and transfer leaf gilding.

Also within the Traditional Sign-Making Masterclass area, visitors will have the chance to see small wooden items and learn more about the techniques of how these pieces are created. In addition, attendees will be able to try their hand at signwriting on white emulsion boards, with David on hand to offer hints and tips.
